First-Gen Advice: "Really seek out connections from staff and faculty. I remember being scared to ask for help or even anxious to build these connections here. Being the first in my family to come to college I didn't know who to talk to. I then found staff and faculty who not only helped me, but became my family as well. More people who identified as Latine or had the career path I wanted. I know I can still rely on them to this day and I truly encourage students to seek out connections."
