Francesca Palermino

Programs Assistant (2017-2019)

B.A., Communication, UC Santa Barbara

Francesca is recent graduate of UCSB and is thrilled to return as a Programs Assistant in the ONDAS Student Center and Transfer Student Center. During her senior year at UCSB, she was a Peer Educator in the Transfer Student Center where she mentored transfer students on the transition to UCSB. In addition, she was a Research Assistant in the Department of Communication, where she studied the difficulties that undocumented high school students and their families face in the US. As an undergrad at UCSB, Francesca was very involved on campus. She was a member of a Greek organization, studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and held various campus internships including the Education Abroad Program and the Pollock Theater.  Francesca's campus involvement in her two years at UCSB inspired her to pursue working in Higher Education. She enjoys mentoring students as well as developing new ideas to increase student success and retention. In her free time, she spends time with her friends and likes exploring new places in Santa Barbara
