Why did you get involved in academic advising?
"As a student who was on the cusp of academic dismissal several times during my undergrad at UC Santa Barbara, I know what it is like to struggle and not feel heard. My goal is to be the person I needed as a student, and I hope I can be that for my students. I enjoy working on solutions for students and knowing that what I do makes their time here less stressful is a reward in and of itself."
